On the first Monday back at school our entire staff spent the day working with Glen Pearsall, a literacy expert, to discuss and develop ways to improve the way we help students develop their literacy skills. This will continue to be an area of priority for the staff over the next term and into 2017. In addition the College has appointed Ms Sarah Garnaut to the position of Literacy Coordinator to lead literacy growth within the College.

We also welcomed two new staff members to the College. Ms Courtney Dodd who will be working in the areas of Maths and Science, Mr Damian Lawlor who will be working in the area of English and Ms Carolina Manariti will be working in the area of Textiles and Food Technology.

At the end of Term 2 the College was sad to say goodbye to Hanieh Langroodi who has decided to take time to travel and to Mr Stephen Cameron who has taken leave to teach in England. Mrs Gillian Donald is also retiring this week and we wish her well as she enjoys her many interests outside teaching. The College will miss her contribution to so many areas in the College, especially her commitment to the Music Department.
