Science: Turtles
It has been an exciting month for Science! Not only have we settled in our new turtle friends, they now have their long awaited names. Thanks to all the votes on our Facebook page and from our wider Mooroolbark community on Open Night. Therefore, without further ado we formally welcome Sheldon and Franklin.
The turtles have created much interest amongst the students; on a daily basis, we have many visitors to the Science foyer who come to say a friendly hello. Each week the turtles are weighed and measured as we track their health. Students are recording this data on the turtle noticeboard, which will soon be translated to graphs to link in with relevant Math’s concepts the students are learning.
The turtles would also like to thank their special Turtle Ambassadors who look after them so well each day. They are Turtley Amazing!
