Great Amazing Race 2018

On Monday 23 July, our 2018 Duke of Ed team completed the annual Great Amazing Race through the city. We split into 5 teams with team ‘SMILE’ coming out on top in 1st place. Only 10 seconds behind in 2nd place was team ‘MOOZIE BEES’.

A great effort and once again a sensational attitude from all. Our Duke of Ed team represented our College brilliantly with thanks to Mr Lorkin and Mr Mann for coming along to facilitate and support.

Warburton Trail Ride

On Thursday 28th of June our amazingly resilient Duke of Ed team of 2018 braved the freezing conditions on the beautiful Warby Trail.

We rode from Mt Evelyn to Warburton (34km) in a very good time and were almost able to feel our fingers and toes by the time we got there.

This experience is yet another addition to the mental and physical strength and courage this team is building this year!

Camp #1

Our Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh class completed their practice journey to the Cathedral Ranges State Park on the 28th to 30th of May 2018.

How did they describe it? Exciting. Spectacular views. Cold. Wet. Campfire. Challenging. Tiring. Fulfilling. Sunshine. Grateful. Empathetic. Mindful. FUN!

A big thank you to Mr Van Keulen and past Duke of Edinburgh students, Paula & Jade Hubben and Jack Van Horn.
