On Friday 8th February, 75 Year 12s spent a valuable skill and team building day at Baptist Church in Mooroolbark. The day started by getting to know each other even better with some fun speed dating questions. We then were lucky enough to hear from two 2018 Year 12 students (Nicola Johnson-Clarke who is heading to America to work at Camp America and Angus Fern who got into his preferred course – Bachelor of Business) who gave us an insight into their Journeys from the start of 2018 to now.  The ever-energetic Mr Andy Uren then lifted the energy with some outstanding team building games, helping us see what a team we have! We then had two fantastic sessions from ‘Elevate’ regarding Study Skills and Time Management.  These session will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals in 2019.  We finished the day by hearing about Pathways and the importance of MIPS sessions and researching Tertiary courses now (if we are heading this way).  Finally we found out, (from the amazing Mr John Nichol), through the game of Evolution, what the most important thing of all is – we are all here to support each other and do our best no matter what happens.  Thanks to all and good luck in 2019!
