PROFILE

MATTHEW BETHELL – COLLEGE CAPTAIN

  • What do you hope to achieve this year in your role?
I hope to achieve, in collaboration with the rest of the Year 12 Captains, a year of inclusivity, where students feel a connection to the school and really feel engaged with not just their cohort but the school body as a whole
  • Who is a leader you admire and why do you admire them?
I admire Otto Von Bismarck. His ability to foresee issues in his country was admirable but even more so he was willing to swallow his pride and co-operate with those differing from his worldview in order to do what was right.
  • What are some of your goals for the future?
I want to study at university to obtain a law degree. My goal in this field is to work in an area where I can help those who do not understand the processes and procedures.

-Persistence is the greatest skill you can learn. The drive to stay committed to a task and see it through will have other recognise you and greater things will come your way.
