Term 2 2020 has begun in a very different environment to anything we may have experienced in the past. Many changes and adaptations have taken place to ensure that the delivery of the Senior School programs are able to continue.

The VCAA has made a number of administrative changes to the Year 12 calendar that will allow all VCE/ VCAL students sufficient time to complete their various courses.

• Change of GAT date (TBA)
• 2 week extension for Units 1 & 3
• Exams will be held in December
• Revised Unit 4 study designs (reduction of content)
• VCAL programs extended

Students have responded positively in the use of Microsoft Teams and their positive engagement in classes has been reassuring. VCAL students who have not been able to continue with their Structured Work Placement will be given an opportunity to do so later in the year.

Students undertaking a VET study have been able to continue with their course as all providers are actively delivering their programs. The VET providers have different delivery processes. Most have some form of online learning classes as well as rotational practical classes where appropriate, adhering to the social distancing and health safety requirements. Where attendance at an institution is not possible, alternative activities have been planned.

Senior students are being provided with regular updates in regards to Pathways information. Links have been posted in their Teams year level group and on Compass. Students should regularly check Career Tools for updates on video presentations and webinars that are provided by various Tertiary Institutions.
