As 2021 draws to a close I wish to acknowledge the Mooroolbark College community for their resilience, patience and work throughout this year.  Similarly, to 2020, 2021 has been a year of learning and growth for everyone in the College.  We hope that 2022 will return us to more normal times.

I want to thank our students for their resilience as we continued to develop our skills in operating in a remote and flexible learning environment.

Again in 2021 our parents spent countless hours encouraging their children to keep going during remote learning after hours sitting in front of a screen.  Assisting with assignments, organising schedules and sharing their home offices.  You were an integral part of the remote learning experience.  Thank you.

Finally, to the Mooroolbark College staff, thank you for the hours of extra work you put in to ensure that the learning continued.  The Mooroolbark College students had the opportunity to access high quality, interactive and stimulating learning opportunities.

2021 will hopefully not bring us the same challenges that we faced this year, but if it does, the resilience, flexibility and skills we learnt, will support us if we are required to face further challenges.

2021 VCE RESULTS – COLLEGE DUX

Congratulations to our Year 12 students who received their VCE results on Thursday.  Congratulations to Jesamine Newman our 2021 College Dux.  Jesamine achieved the outstanding ATAR score of 99.4.  The commitment and perseverance Jesamine demonstrated has resulted in this well deserved reward.

I look forward to celebrating the end of our students high school educational journey at the Valedictory Dinner being held on Thursday 10th February.

MOOROOLBARK COLLEGE AWARDS

Thank you to all the Coordinators who genuinely care about our students, they go beyond the call of duty to support the students in our College. This is reflected in high levels of engagement by students in House and College activities.
