Beautiful sunny skies greeted us again as 196 Year 7s joined 20 Staff to venture off to the beautiful Forest Edge camp in Neerim East. After a twisty and turning bus ride, we arrived keen and eager to get involved in some fun activities and get to know some of our peers a little better.

Students had the opportunity to tackle high ropes course, a monster 300m long flying fox, river sledding, raft building, trampolining, mountain boarding, bushwalking and a popular new addition being the water slide.

A key theme of the camp was to embrace being part of Mooroolbark College and that there are no limits on what we can achieve as a group. Great schools need students and staff working together, which is one of the key aims of this camp – to help build positive relationships not only between peers but also with staff and students.

Overall, the students presented themselves really well, with the large majority consistently presenting with a friendly, co-operative and well-mannered approach.

A huge thankyou to the following staff who gave up time away from their own families to give our students a terrific camp experience:-  Ms Sund, Mr Parr, Mr Mann, Ms Grey-Smith, Mr Van Keulen, Ms Cannington, Ms Silver, Ms Hubben, Mr Unland, Ms Lant, Mr Donald, Mr U’ren, Mr Martin, Ms Wilson, Ms Crea, Ms Dalboni, Mr Nichol, Mrs Van Der Ende and it was wonderful to have ex-student, Jordan Roth volunteer his time.
