BYOD Initiative 2020
At Mooroolbark College, we are continuing our educational journey into the 21st Century with the integration of a Windows based notebook. As a result, in 2020 students will be part of a structured Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.
This program will provide anytime, anywhere access to information and learning, equipping students with the skills they will need and their integration into this 24/7 global community. Our aim is to develop in students a high level of digital skills and knowledge, which will enrich their lifelong learning and enhance their employment opportunities.
The BYOD program assists students to develop these skills, which greatly enhance a student’s success and engagement at school. These skills also prepare students for the world of work where technological competence is essential.
We have a series of recommended HP devices for your convenience that have been tested and proven for durability within a school setting. The minimum priced machine in the list provided on the portal is sufficient for all students to complete their daily tasks; however, we have sourced several models for you to choose from. All devices have a three (3) year extended onsite warranty included in the price.
It is strongly recommended that you insure these devices as Mooroolbark College and The Department of Education and Training cannot accept any responsibility for theft, loss, damage or health effects (actual or potential) resulting from device use.
Datacom Purchase Options
We have worked with Datacom to offer you these devices with accessories and accidental damage options. Datacom have various payment options for your consideration.
