Our Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh class went on their first expedition to the Cathedral Ranges National Park on the 16th to 19th of May 2016.  Lead by Mr Olarenshaw and supported by Mr Van Keulen and Ms Sheldrick, 22 students embarked on an adventure that had them camping in pairs, cooking meals using Trangie’s and hiking the impressive Cathedral Range.  Two main treks took place, an 8 hour trek where students walked over half of the range and a small two hour turn around trek up the steep rock face to the top of Sugar Loaf. All students and staff had a ball and cannot wait to return to complete the trek sometime in the future.
