The 50th and 51st Mooroolbark College Debutante Balls were held over the weekend of August 12th and 13th.  It was a wonderful opportunity to see so many of our Year 11 students step up and participate in a wonderful event.  I would like to thank Ms Claire Jones and Ms Sarah Garnaut for their wonderful organising of the events, making the nights very special for our students.  I would also like to acknowledge Mr David Hodgett MP, Member for Croydon and Councillor Maria McCarthy from The Shire of Yarra Ranges for being our community guests of honour at the Debutante Balls and Mr Andrew U’ren and Mr Dane Keogh for their roles as College guests of Honour.

I am happy to announce that Shire Councillor Maria McCarthy has offered to be ‘Principal for the Day’ on Thursday 8th September.  This has become an important annual event as it provides opportunities for Mooroolbark College students to interact with key community leaders.
